    Having a left-arm pacer is like an extra weapon for any team. Left pacers are proved to be quite dangerous for any batter. Let us talk about some of these outstanding left-arm pacers who have stunned everyone with their excellent bowling display in the current edition of the league.

    Khaleel Ahmed

    The name consistent with his performance throughout his bout is Khaleel Ahmed. The left-arm pacer has stunned many with his swing and pace. The left-arm pacer made his debut in IPL in 2018 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He then played four seasons for Sunrisers Hyderabad, featuring in 30 matches and bagging 43 wickets. His best IPL outing was the 2019 edition, in which he played nine games and claimed 19 wickets. Delhi Capitals bought him in the IPL 2022 mega auction for Rs. 5.25 crore and returned figures 2-27 in 4 overs in the first match for DC against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022. He has clinched 11 wickets in the current season so far. The left-arm pacer also featured in the national side and has been an excellent left-arm pace option for team India.

    Mukesh Choudhary

    Another name that has sparked this edition is Chennai Super Kings’s left arm Mukesh Choudhary; however, the youngster didn’t have a perfect debut as he leaked 39 runs in 3.3 overs and went wicketless in the first match against Lucknow Super Giants In the second match against Punjab, Mukesh returned with the figure 1/52 and disappointed many as he wasn’t that good. However, the franchise persisted in the young bowler and the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad; he took one wicket for 30 runs. Mukesh failed in the initial games; however, the team management had faith in the pacer. The real magic of Mukesh Choudhary came in the second match against SRH when he took wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Shashank Singh, and Washington Sundar. His toe crushing Yorkers are a delight to watch. The left-arm pacer has taken 15 wickets in 9 matches in IPL 2022.

    Arshdeep Singh

    Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has been on a constant curve for his franchise Punjab Kings over the last three years. At just 23 years of age, the left-arm pacer impressed everyone in the cricketing circuit with maturity and skills in his bowling that kept improving every season. Bought by Punjab Kings in 2019, Arshdeep finished as the highest wicket-taker for the franchise last season. An efficient bowler, who has taken up the challenge of bowling against the world’s best batters head-on, Arshdeep has been one of the finds of the tournament in the last couple of years. The pacer has played 32 matches in the tournament and has clinched 33 wickets with an appreciable economy of 8.48. 

    T Natarajan

    Another brilliant name developed himself is Sunrisers Hyderabad’s T Natarajan. In the current season, the pacer has played seven matches and has triumphantly showcased his abilities so far. The left-arm pacer has already taken 17 wickets in the nine innings at an average of 17.82 and sits third in the list of highest wicket-takers halfway through the tournament. More interesting about Natarajan this season is that he is no longer limited to Yorkers and has developed new tricks and varieties for his bowling. At the same time, injuries kept kin away from the game for an extended period the previous season. In powerplay overs this season, the pacer has bowled six overs in which his overall economy has been 6.83, which is an excellent sign for the pacer.
