Cricket News: IPL players to play in Big Bash League 

    Big bash League is transitioning, giving itself a chance in the competitive international T20 market with the emergence of new cricket leagues

    While earlier the negotiations used to occur between domestic teams and foreign clubs in private with no coordination by the league; Now, with the new system, players will put themselves forward, and teams make offers just like the format of the Indian Premier League. 

    Cricket Australia is making this move to recruit a group of well-known players who are financially feasible and attainable. The 12th edition of Big Bash League will commence on 13th December 2022, the draft of which will take place on 28th August 2022.

    The Indian premier league is considered the best T20 tournament because of the kind of competition that happens, and these competitions are due to world-class players. In this BBL edition, a few of the IPL mega stars have also drafted their nomination. This list includes the mystery king, Rashid Khan, Chennai Super King experienced backbone - Dwayne Bravo, Mumbai Indians super strength - Kieron Pollard and newly appointed Royal Challengers Bangalore's captain Faf du Plessis.

    After opening the drafts system, BBL is getting a lot of international traction for participation. Players from West Indies, Afghanistan, South Africa, New Zealand and other countries have started drafting themselves for the 12th edition. So far, no Indian player has put up their name for the same. Here is a list of players who have drafted themselves.

    Afghanistan: Rashid Khan, Qais Ahmad, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Waqarullah Ishaq, Izharulhaq Naveed, Naveen Ul Haq Murid, Hazratullah Zazai.

    West Indies: Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Sheldon Cottrell, Chemar Holder, Akeal Hosein, Evin Lewis, Anderson Phillip, Khary Pierre, Ravi Rampaul, Sherfane Rutherford, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair, Tion Webster, Nyeem Young. 

    South Africa: Faf du Plessis, Marchant de Lange, Rilee Rossouw.

    Pakistan: Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi

    New Zealand: Colin Munro and Todd Astle.

    Namibia: David Wiese.

    The two-month window for BBL will be a better edition than their previous ones, with international drafts and all of the red ball and white ball Australian cricketers being available to play. The upcoming edition has been dubbed "one of the most significant" by Big Bash League commissioner Alistair Dobson. The international player draught may be a key indicator of how the competition performs this summer.
