    Four uncapped cricketers who managed to notch up the highest number of runs in the fifteenth edition of the league this season

    This season, the young batter from Punjab left everyone in awe with his brilliant batting display. With a top-notch performance with the bat, the youngster had caught everyone's eye as one of the most brilliant uncapped players. Abhishek Sharma tops the list of most runs from an uncapped player as an uncapped player. He has scored 426 runs in the 14 matches he played with an average of 30.43 and an appreciable strike rate of 133.13, which is a good start as an uncapped player. Abhishek has also smashed two fifties, and his 75 runs knock in just 50 deliveries against CSK was a delight for the cricket fans to watch. In the mega auction, the Sunrisers Hyderabad bought the uncapped right-handed batsman for a whopping amount of INR 6.5 crores. Till now, the youngster has justified his huge price quite brilliantly. Although the Sunrisers failed to make their way to the playoffs this season, their young batter Abhishek Sharma shined quite well, and we can surely hope this destructive batter will flourish more in future.

     

    Rahul Tripathi

    We have seen one of the most prominent batters at number three, Rahul Tripathi, with some outstanding knocks leaving everyone stunned this season. Tripathi has batted at number three for SRH this season and consistently made the position his own. Tripathi has proved himself one of the most prolific batters this season at number three. Tripathi holds second place in the list of most runs as an uncapped player. In the 14 matches this season, Tripathi has made 413 runs with a healthy average and strike rate of 37.55 and 158.2 for Sunrisers. Tripathi's advantage over his teammates is that he doesn't take time to get off the blocks. The batter made his IPL debut in 2017 for Rising Pune Supergiants; however, he is still to get into the national side. In the mega auction, Tripathi was bought by SRH for a hefty price of 8.5 Cr. And with his performance till now, he has made the pick by Sunrisers a successful selection. 

     

    Tilak Verma

    The destructive left-handed batter from Hyderabad has had an outstanding season with the bat for Mumbai Indians this season. He proved himself a crucial factor in MI's wrecked batting order. While many big names failed to score for MI this season, Tilak Verma had been the lone wolf in the squad with his impressive consistency. His fabulous knock of 61 off 33 deliveries against the Rajasthan Royals justified his potential as a trustworthy middle-order batsman. Tilak Verma ranks number three in the list of most runs by an uncapped player, with 397 runs in his 14 matches. He had scored the runs with an impressive average and strike rate of 36.09 and 131.02, respectively. The number defines his consistency in the season. Due to his outstanding performance in first-class matches, MI picked him in the mega auction at a high amount with a lot of hopes, and the youngster had justified the team's expectations quite well. We can surely hope this young batter shines well for the franchise and the national side.

    Rajat Patidar

    Rajat Patidar was one of the ignored players in the mega auction. However, when the uncapped Indian smashed an unbeaten century in the eliminator against Lucknow, leaving everyone stunned. The 28-year-old right-handed batter is now on the fourth spot on the list with his astonishing batting performances for the Royal Challengers. In the eight matches Rajat played, he scored 333 runs at a sensational average of 55.50 and a strike rate of 152.75. He has scored two fifties and one unbeaten century in the eight innings. Patidar is known to face the new ball easily, and thus he has been one of the crucial top-order batters for RCB. He was part of RCB in 2021 however didn't score much that season. In the mega auction this year, no team showed interest in the youngster; however, he was later called up by RCB as a replacement. With his astonishing performances with the bat, the youngster has proved his potential and is among the top uncapped batters this season.
