Cameron Norrie and Katie Swan's victories on day one gave Britain a 2-0 lead over the other teams in their group.

Six round-robin groups of three teams will compete in the first mixed-team competition.

Great Britain, Spain, and Australia fight for a chance to move to the semi-finals and face the US, Germany, or the Czech Republic in a playoff.

After Ajla Tomljanovic withdrew from the game due to a knee injury, Inglis was called up at the last minute.

After Friday's 6-4, 6-4 victory over Dart, Britain had won the match with two matches remaining.

Sam Stosur and John Peers defeated Dart and Jonny O'Mara in a double match 7-6 (7-4), 6-4, and Dan Evans fell to Jason Kubler 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).

For a chance to play the US, Germany, or the Czech Republic in a play-off to advance to the semi-finals, Great Britain, Spain, and Australia compete.

Lleyton Hewitt, the co-captain of Australia, has been accused of "throwing him under the bus," according to Nick Kyrgios.

In order to prepare for the Australian Open, Kyrgios withdrew from the United Cup mixed teams competition, and the 27-year-old was dismayed by his co-captain's public response.

Hewitt expressed his frustration at the lack of communication and claimed to be uninformed of Kyrgios' withdrawal.

Kyrgios tweeted about whether Tomljanovic will be treated differently when she pulled out of her match against Dart.

"I worry if Sam Stosur, Australia's co-captain, would humiliate her in the same way."
