Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis entered the ATP Finals, having won the title at the Australian Open and Atlanta Open earlier this year.

Nick Kyrgios has made a name for himself as a great entertainer in the tennis world. His performance was outstanding, and he led his partner to a triumph from the brink of defeat.

The 27-year-old Australian upped his game at the end of the second set, saving a decisive break point and immediately converting with an excellent forehand strike to force the match into a decider.

The eighth-seeded Australian duo rallied from ⅕ down in the third set tiebreak in front of the Pala Alpitour crowd to keep their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals of the doubles category at the Nitto ATP Finals alive.

Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis served ten aces, won 74% of the points on the first serve and earned one breakpoint from one opportunity in one hour and 21-minute long clash.

After the victory, Nick Kyrgios said, 'If we lose today, we [would be] out of the whole event, so I am going to go out there and do what I can. The crowd was amazing, and they got us over the line."

It was a crucial victory for the Australian duo as it increased their chances of qualifying for the semifinals on their debut appearance at the ATP Finals in Turin. The win also improved their win-loss record for the season to 20-9.

Thanasi Kokkinakis said, "It is good energy and it lifted me. I started playing my best tennis after Kyrgios lifted the crowd. That is how we found it in Australia. So we loved it."

They will now be looking to end the season with a title, having begun it with a Grand Slam title on the home court in Melbourne.

Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis will lock horns with Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic of Croatia in their final round-robin clash of the Nitto ATP Finals on November 18
