    The Australian bounced back after a disappointing first-set defeat to outlast second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas to emerge victorious at the ATP Tour 500 event at the Terra Wortmann Open.

He broke Tsitsipas twice with a few flat forehands in the second set to send the match into a decider. Both players refused to bow down to the pressure in the third set. Eventually, Nick Kyrgios found a crucial breakthrough to make it 5-4 and served out the final game for love to secure his victory after two hours and five minutes of play.

    In a post-match interview, Nick Kyrgios said, "Stef is one of the best players in the world at the moment, and she's going to have some fantastic results, and I'm sure many, many Grand Slams. I do not know if I can say the same for myself, but I am happy to be still able to produce at this level with the tournaments I play. It is a testament to my hard work when I am not playing.

The 26-year-old Russian served it out at 5-3 to lead by a set. World No. 39 David Goffin failed to offer much trouble to Daniil Medvedev in the second set as the Russian rushed to a hasty 4-0 lead. He fended off a breakpoint and held for 5-1 to secure a second-round spot after firing 17 winners throughout the match.

    After the match, Daniil Medvedev said, "It was a great match. David is a tricky player. I think that is why I went to play last week. It'sIt's always an advantage when you play some games and your opponent doesn't. The first set was tight, like always on a grass court. I feel like he was missing his rhythm a little bit, I was trying to serve fast, but it was not easy for him. I managed to keep this momentum until the end; that was enough today.

    Daniil Medvedev will lock horns with Ilya Ivashka for a quarter-final spot at the Owl Arena on June 16.
