Dabang Delhi which has never been a champion in the league before took the trophy home by defeating the only team that has won the tournament three times in the past. The Delhi team had managed to reach the finals in the last season too, but this time they made sure they left no stone unturned to win the title. Jaipur Pink Panthers, U Mumba, Patna Pirates, Bengaluru Bulls, and Bengal Warriors are some of the teams, along with Dabang Delhi, that have also won the league at least once to put their names among the winners. Let us take a look at the champions of the last few seasons.

    PKL Season 7: 2019-20

Bengal Warriors, the 2020-21 season champions, defeated this year's winners,  Dabang Delhi. Unlike most other winners, Bengal Warriors took the title on a team effort. While Maninder Singh was making a whopping number of raid points, Baldev Singh and Rinku Narwal were scoring tackle points for the team's success. Meanwhile, Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh's incredible game during the summit clash brought him 10 points.

    PKL Season 6: 2018-19

The monopoly of Patna Pirates over the PKL title finally ended in the 6th season when Bengaluru Bulls emerged as the no. 1 team. To fight Pradeep Naharwal, the Bangalore team brought a bomb this season named Pawan Sehrawat. It won't be wrong to say that he single-handedly made his team win the tournament. Even during the final, Bengaluru Bulls took the trophy home because of his 22 raid points, which is the highest a player has ever made in a match.

    PKL Season 5: 2017-18

Despite four new teams joining the tournament in the 5th season, Patna Pirates didn't fail to continue their streak of winning the finals. They defeated Gujarat Giants 55-38 after winning against Puneri Paltan, Haryana Steelers, and Bengal Warriors to compete for the title. Pradeep Narwal, like always, showed an incredible improvement in his already terrific performance to take the trophy home three consecutive seasons in a row.

    PKL Season 4: 2016-17

Patna Pirates, who had done wonders in the 3rd season (2016) by winning the title for the first time, didn't disappoint its fans. Though Rohit Kumar, one of their outstanding players from the 3rd season, was no longer in the team, Pradeep Naharwal didn't let the team feel his absence. His terrific performance in the league left all jaws dropped as he scored 133 raid points in the company and single-handedly made Patna Pirates have another one of their great victories in the Pro Kabaddi League. Defeating the first season champions, Jaipur Pink Panthers, in the final contest for the trophy, Patna Pirates once again emerged triumphantly.
