The auction took place between August 5-6, where Tamil Thalaivas bought Sherawat for a whopping 2.26 Crores, a price never paid before by any franchise ever.

Pawan joined the PKL in season 3, in 2016, when he made his debut for Bengaluru Bulls. His performance with the Bulls remained consistent; however, he had a poor phase in season 5 when he played for Gujarat Giants.

In the following year, Sehrawat moved back to the Bulls. Bengaluru's franchise became the champions that season, with Sehrawat holding 282 raid points in 24 matches, the highest that season.

In the finals, Bengaluru Bulls defeated Gujarat's franchise, where Sehrawat scored 22 raid points and became the season's most valuable player.

In 2021, Pawan Sehrawat again played for Bengaluru Bulls and again scored the most raid points in the season, equal to 304 raid points in 24 matches.

Though the Bulls didn't win the title in 2021, Sehrawat's talent and performance were remarkable throughout the season.

In the year 2019, in season 7, in one of the league matches between Bengaluru Bulls and Haryana Steelers, Sehrawat scored 39 raid points and made the record for most raid points in one PKL match.

In season 9's auction, which took place between August 5 and 6, right after Vikash Kandola was bought by Sehrawat's last team for 1.7 Crores, the highest price quoted until then, Tamil Thalaivas bid on Sehrawat and acquired him for a colossal amount of 2.26 Crores.

When the audience was already shocked by the price quoted by the Bulls for Vikash Kandola, another surprise came running by when Tamil Thalaivas made Sehrawat the most expensive player in the history of the PKL.

However, the surprise was not excessive. With the incredible performance that Pawan Sehrawat has shown in the last few seasons of PKL and with the consistency that he has maintained throughout his career, sooner or later, he would've achieved the status that he has today.
