Pro Kabaddi League: Ajinkya Pawar leads Tamil Thalaivas to a thrilling win over Gujarat Giants 

    Tamil Thalaivas entered the last seven minutes of the match with a comfortable lead. Still, Gujarat Giants fought back to the best of their ability in the final stages of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season nine match on Sunday

    However, Ajinkya Pawar managed some significant attacks in the last minute of the game and helped his team to a 42-39 victory at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.

    Narender picked up a couple of bonus points as the Tamil Thalaivas took a 6-2 lead in the fourth minute. Ajinkya Pawar and Arpit Saroha attacked Rakesh as the Tamil Nadu side continued to lead.

    But Parteek Dahiya attacked M. Abishek and kept Gujarat in the game at 6-10. The Gujarat Giants continued to fight and reduced the Tamil Thalaivas to two members on the mat. Moments later, the Gujarat team went all out and got to within one point of Gujarat.

    Then captain Dong Geon Lee managed a tackle, and Arkam Shaikh tackled Ajinkya Pawar as the Gujarat Giants took a 17-15 lead in the 13th minute.

    However, Ajinkya Pawar and Narender's attacks ensured that their team took a 21-18 lead in the 18th minute. The Tamil Nadu team made the most of the opportunity and took a 24-20 lead at halftime.

    In the opening minutes of the second half, Ajinkya Pawar managed a great attack, and soon after, the Tamil Thalaivas scored another all-out in the 25th minute to clinch the match 30-22.

    In the 30th minute, the Tamil Thalaivas attacked Lee and continued to hold a big lead at 35-26. Sourav Gulia of the Gujarat Giants collected a couple of tackle points, but Gujarat was too far behind at 28-36 in the 33rd minute.

    Chandran Ranjit then stepped on the mat and scored a series of attacking points to bring his team to within 36-38 of Tamil Thalaivas in the 39th minute. Parteek Dahiya also contributed a couple of attacking points and reduced Tamil Thalaivas to just one member on the mat.

    However, Ajinkya Pawar scored a hold-up and a bonus point to keep the Tamil Nadu team in the lead at 41-38. Ajinkya Pawar managed another raid in the last second of the match to help his team to a thrilling victory.
