The win for the Tamil Thalaivas meant they secured a place in the Mumbai playoffs and became the fifth team to advance to the next round.

The Tamil Thalaivas got off to the quickest start, scoring through Narender and Ajinkya Pawar to take a 5-0 lead in the opening minutes. And while Anil Kumar scored the first point for the UP Yoddhas, the Tamil Thalaivas were in control in the game's early stages.

The UP Yoddha continued to pull away as the first half progressed, with Anil playing most of the game for his team. However, the Tamil Thalaivas did enough to stay ahead. Himanshu, Mohit, and Arpit Saroha supported Narender and Ajinkya.

For much of the first half, the UP Yoddha's attacking play was less effective than they would have liked, while the Tamil Thalaivas' defenders had a good run. When the players took a break, the Tamil Thalaivas led 18-9.

The two teams initially engaged in an open exchange of blows in the second half, but the Tamil Thalaivas were in control of the game. With over 13 minutes to go, the UP Yoddhas scored their first ALL OUT of the game, giving them hope of a comeback as they kept extending the Tamil Thalaivas' lead.

With 10 minutes left in the game, the UP Yoddhas had cut the Tamil Thalaivas lead to six points. However, shortly after a timeout, the Tamil Thalaivas upped the ante again and kept marching on to lead by 13 points with six minutes to go.

Narender had already scored his Super 10, and Ajinkya scored for fun. Finally, the Tamil Thalaivas walked off the mat with a win and plane tickets to Mumbai.
