Pro Kabaddi League: Puneri Paltan 38-25 Telugu Titans: Puneri Paltan stays on top with an easy win

Table-toppers Puneri Paltan maintained their top spot with an easy 38-25 win over Telugu Titans on Saturday. It was a well-rounded affair, both offensively and defensively

Pankaj Mohite and Aslam Inamdar were the top scorers with 8 points each, but all players contributed to the win. The win put the Paltans atop the standings with 69 points from 18 games. The Titans remain bottom of the table with just 15 points from 18 games.

The game started slowly, and both teams were keen to avoid mistakes and instead play to their strengths.

The Titans, supported by a partisan home crowd, constantly kept the Paltan attackers at bay. Although they fell behind due to the attacking prowess of Aslam Inamdar, they managed to avoid going all out on several occasions with super tackles.

The teams went into the break with a four-point gap, with the Paltan leading 14-10.

At the start of the second half, Puneri Paltan picked up the pace and, within a few minutes, gave the Titans an 18-10 lead with their first ALL OUT of the night.

The Titans had barely recovered from that setback, and another one followed before they could get their act together.

A raid from Pankaj Mohite to Parvesh Bhainswal, Vishal Bhardwaj and T Adarsh condemned the Titans to a second all-out in seven minutes, trailing 27-11.

After the double all-out, the Titans struggled to get anything going in the attacking department and continued to rely on their defenders, who kept pulling off SUPER TACKLES to keep them in the game.

Another late SUPE RAID from Akash Shinde against Muhammed Shihas, Mohsen Maghsoudlou and Prince D. threatened to put the Titans out of the game. But the Puneri Paltan managed to stay afloat.

However, the Pune team continued to play confidently and eventually won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Telugu Titans are already out of the race for the playoffs. The team is at the bottom of the points table with two wins from 17 games. They have only 15 points on their account.
