Rumour has it that now that Manpreet Singh has left Gujarat Giants, he is set to join Haryana Steelers as their new coach. Though the official announcement is not out yet, reports say that the statement about Manpreet Singh leading the Haryana Steelers in the next season will be out soon. The club was not satisfied with its performance under the leadership of Rakesh Kumar, so the need for a new coach was felt. Unfortunately, Haryana Steelers have failed to reach any finals under Rakesh Kumar's Coaching, and Manpreet Singh is expected to make that happen in the 9th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.

"After leaving the coaching of Gujarat Giants, Manpreet Singh is now going to take over as the coach for the team of Haryana. Manpreet Singh's name can be announced on behalf of the Haryana Steelers team very soon," said a source involved in the said developments.

Manpreet Singh is said to be very aggressive on the defensive end. Haryana Steelers have many good defenders; therefore, he may be a good coach for them this season. In the last edition of the league, Haryana Steelers finished in the 7th position under the coachmanship of Rakesh Kumar and couldn't even qualify for the playoffs. The same reason seems to have triggered the process of finding a new coach.
