    The Patna Pirates' top scorers in their triumph were Mohammadreza Chiyaneh (7 points), Anand Tomar (8 points), and Ranjit Naik (11 points).

    With the two teams separated by just a single place and four points in the standings, this duel was about the chance to salvage the pride of the season and Patna Pirates, last year's finalists, were the ones who got the better start.

    Ranjit Naik's aggressive attacking play gave them an early lead, which they used to go all-out within the first 10 minutes of the game.

    However, the Bengal Warriors always stayed in touch as their defence gave them points and kept them in the game.

    The defence helped them inflict an all-out on the Patna Pirates and tie the game at 16-16. The teams went into the break with a one-point lead, 18-17 for the Patna Pirates.

    Similar to the first half, the Patna Pirates exploded onto the scene in the second half, propelled by Mohammadreza Chiyaneh's outstanding play. They forced the Bengal Warriors into a second all-out and won 27-20.

    From then on, they never let go of the momentum and made it a third all-out with six minutes to go. Naik completed his 10-point play shortly after, and the Patna Pirates deservedly won.
