Pro Kabaddi League: Gujarat Giants 38-36 U Mumba - Parteek Dahiya is the star for Gujarat Giants

    Parteek Dahiya was the best player for Gujarat Giants as they staged an impressive comeback to defeat U Mumba 38-36 in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season nine at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

    Former champions U Mumba had a big lead in the first half, but Prteek Dahiya scored 13 points to help Gujarat win.

    Pranay Rane scored a couple of touchpoints as U Mumba took a 6-3 lead in the fifth minute. Moments later, Mohit Sandeep attacked and went all-out to help his team take a massive 10-4 lead.

    Soon after, Heidarali Ekrami pulled off a super raid taking out Shankar Gadai, Sourav Gulia and Arkam Shaikh to put Mumbai in complete control of the game at 15-4 in the 8th minute. Gujarat's Rinku Narwal and Sandeep provided tackles, but U Mumba remained in the lead at 15-8 in the 12th minute.

    Heidarali Ekrami continued to shine as the U Mumba kept storming forward. However, Rakesh led an attack, and the Giants managed to stop Guman Singh with a tackle to stay in the game at 13-18. But Rahul Sethpal made a super tackle in the 20th minute to give U Mumba a 20-13 lead at the end of the first half.

    Parteek Dahiya performed a fantastic attack in the first minutes of the second half, reducing U Mumba to just two players on the mat. Moments later, the Gujarat Giants attacked Kamlesh and made sure with an all-out to get them back in the game at 19-22.

    But Rane ensured U Mumba stayed ahead 24-20 with a multi-point win. But Parteek Dahiya made sure with a couple of attacks that the Giants came within touching distance of U Mumba at 25-26 in the 28th minute. Sourav Gulia attacked Rane soon after and helped Gujarat level the score at 26-26.

    Ashish then caught Sourav Gulia and Arkam Shaikh, and U Mumba took a 29-27 lead in the 31st minute. But Gujarat's Manuj tackled Rane, and Shankar Gadai made a couple of tackles to ensure that the Giants levelled the score at 30-30. After that, both sides exchanged blows one after the other, and in the 37th minute, the score was 32-32.

    However, in the 39th minute, Parteek Dahiya managed a great attack, and he helped his team to an all-out and 37-34 lead.

    In the last seconds of the game, the Gujarat Giants played their cards perfectly and secured a thrilling victory in the end.
