The auction will have more than 500 players, out of which 24 players were shortlisted from the top two teams of the Khelo India University Games.

The upcoming auction pool will include famous names like 'Sultan' Fazel Atrachali.

He is the most celebrated international player who U Mumba offloaded. The Iranian defender and skipper of U Mumba slumped into a rough phase last year, having scored 48 tackle points in 22 matches.

Former India captain and kabaddi legend Anup Kumar disapproves of Fazel being the captain. His performance has been affected by the burden of his duties as a captain.

Without the armband, he would surrender his focus to the game and win his team matches. Meanwhile, three-time champions Patna Pirates and runners-up of Season 8 have parted ways with Sachin Tanwar.

The 23-year-old raider is transitioning into a reliable match-winner and a game changer in the league. He could turn the game over in favour of his team, which elicited compliments and the tag "cool" from Anup Kumar.

He believes in Sachin's ability to bathe his team in confidence and support. He scored more than 150 raid points thrice in the last four seasons.

On the other hand, Haryana Steelers got rid of their star player Vikas Kandola. Anup sees him as a master of high-pressure situations with a knack for winning games at the very end. He can change the outcome of a game and is a great defender.
