    Green Card

The green card is given to a violator as an initial warning. Even when this card is given to a player breaking the rules, the opponent team does not receive any technical points. The green is the least disadvantageous for players or teams among the PKL warning and suspension cards.

    Yellow Card

The yellow card suspends a player for two minutes if they violate the rules or overstep their boundaries. When the card is shown to a player, the opponent team receives a technical point as compensation. The team is not allowed to replace the suspended player. The two-minute suspension is only valid as long as the violator is on the field. A player off the field receiving a yellow card will only suffer the consequences once he's on the field. Hence the PKL yellow card is something to watch out for.

    Red Card

Like football, a red card handed to a player means suspension for the rest of the match. When an umpire hands it to a player, one technical point is given to the opponent team. The team cannot replace the suspended player so the team of the suspended player continues with one less member to support them. Once the suspended player is on the field only then his suspension will start. A player getting a red card when he is off the field will only bear its disadvantages when he is on the field. The red card is the most dangerous among PKL warning and suspension cards.

The umpires can show these cards to suspend or warn the players. They can additionally use it against the coach of the playing team. Both the parties could receive any one of these cards due to the following reasons:

    1. Not adhering to or fighting the official’s decision which breaks the momentum of the match
    2. Making condescending statements or insulting the officials and their actions to change their decision
    3. Exhibiting excessive aggression towards the referee or umpire to turn the decision in their own favor
    4. Attack a raider by shutting his mouth or throat in any way
    5. Violent tackling could injure the opponent raider
    6. Taking more than five seconds to start the raid unless stated as such
    7. Locking the raider using scissors operated by legs
    8. Dispensing coaching advice by the coaches and the players
    9. Sabotaging the raider from taking his turn
