Premier League News: Jack Grealish's departure from Manchester City may clear the way for Jude Bellingham

Manchester City are reportedly interested in offloading club-record signing Jack Grealish to pave the way for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

City's £100 million purchase did not bear any practical results, and after Grealish departed from Aston Villa, the club thrived without their former skipper.

Although Grealish is talented, he doesn't fit into Pep Guardiola's coaching system. In September, it was reported that the Englishman asked his agent to find him a new club.

The 27-year-old is heartbroken at how things have turned out at the Etihad, and his future is now uncertain. New reports suggest that the Citizens might replace him with his England colleague Jude Bellingham from Dortmund.

City's long-term interest in the 19-year-old only increased after they watched his performance for the Three Lions at the World Cup. It might cost them £100m to bring him in, so Grealish might have to depart due to Financial Fair Play regulations.

Grealish started six games in the Premier League this season but was absent from the starting XI for five of City's six Champions League group games. He has also been deployed as a substitute for England in the World Cup.

On the other hand, Bellingham has started all the matches for Gareth Southgate's promising squad. He scored his first senior international goal in England's World Cup opener against Iran and has 20 caps to his credit.

Teams like Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested in signing him.

Manchester United to sign new forward

Manchester United will have a busy transfer window in January as the search for a new forward has started. Ronaldo's unfortunate exit has left a gaping hole in the frontline, so a transfer is on the cards.

Erik ten Hag splurged in the summer, but his signings have exhibited good performances. United are interested in big names like Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane, but they are unavailable.

Meanwhile, Cody Gakpo's value has increased after his success at the World Cup. United are now trying to understand whether to invest in a long-term striker or rake in someone with experience.

However, their recent £18 million boost will help them land a new striker. In addition, they will save £16 million in wages due to being sent to Ronaldo before season end but are no longer required to do so.

United also benefits from the FIFA World Cup as they have 16 players participating in the competition. Clubs receive money for players who remain with the national team during the tournament.

United will also benefit from a rule that states "all clubs a player has played for in the two years before the tournament will be compensated." Hence, it means that Ten Hag will have sufficient finances if he ever wishes to sign a new player.

PSG interested in Manchester United star

Paris Saint-Germain's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi revealed that his club is interested in Marcus Rashford. The forward is one of the highest scorers in the World Cup, and he scored three goals for England in their march to the quarter-finals.

He has scored eight goals for United this season. Now, PSG have shown an active interest in the 25-year-old and are expected to make a move for him.

"He's another player that is really amazing," said Al-Khelaifi. He further expressed his delight over Rashford potential free transfer to PSG. "To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely," the Parisian continued.

He plans to approach him after the World Cup and hopes to seal a deal if the club is still interested in January. However, Rashford's contract, set to expire in 2023, could extend by another year.

So a free switch for Rashford in 2023 seems unlikely. After the World Cup, transfer talks surrounding Rashford and Luke Shaw, and Diogo Dalot will begin.
