The long list of goalscorers includes Luis Diaz, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Elliot, Virgil van Dijk and Fabio Carvalho.

Liverpool then registered their first victory this season after matching the record for the biggest ever Premier League victory as they thrashed the newly promoted team.

The opening six minutes witnessed two conversions from Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliot, who put their opponents in a difficult position from the off. The lead was increased by England full-back Trent Alexander Arnold who scored towards the top corner in the 28th minute.

Roberto Firmino was the next one to score three minutes later. They closed out the first half with another goal from Virgil van Dijk, who launched a header from the corner.

Chris Mepham's own goal then made things worse for the losing side. Firmino's close-range shot landed another goal for the club, followed by substitute Fabio Carvalho's finish that permitted them to dream of a record-breaking run.

Liverpool was finally five minutes away from becoming the first side to score 10 in a Premier League match when Luiz Diaz snapped up a header in the match's closing minutes. However, Bournemouth managed to avoid that and ease up their misfortune.
