Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will face their 2021/22 title rivals Liverpool at Anfield on October 15 before battling against Jurgen Klopp's side at the Etihad Stadium on April 1, 2023. City's penultimate game of the season at home will be against Chelsea before they take a final outing to Brentford on May 28. Liverpool will conclude their campaign at Southampton. This year, the Premier League season will be put on hold after the weekend of November 12/13 for the winter World Cup to be held in Qatar. It is the first time in the world of football that the league would be stopped in the middle. The season will resume on Boxing Day which eight days after the World Cup final on December 18. The matches include London derbies Arsenal vs West Ham, Brentford vs Tottenham, and Crystal Palace vs Fulham, while Nottingham Forest will visit Old Trafford, the place where they suffered an 8-1 defeat to Manchester United in their previous Premier League campaign.

Unfortunately, there are no games scheduled between Boxing Day until New Year's Eve. After the last match of 2022, the teams will return for the games on January 2, as Chelsea and Manchester City square off against each other.
