Jose Mourinho admitted that his A.S. Roma team was no match for Inter Milan in Saturday's Serie A match. After a 3-1 defeat to Inter Milan, A.S. Roma's unbeaten streak of 12 games came to an end.

Inter Milan stormed to a 3-0 advantage in the Serie A match thanks to goals by Marcelo Brozovic, Lautaro Martinez and Denzel Dumfries.

Denzel Dumfries led inter in the 30th minute before Marcelo Brozovic made it two in the 40th minute. Simone Inzaghi's men won the game with Lautaro Martinez's header seven minutes after the break.

INTER MILAN WON THE MATCH despite A.S. Roma's Henrikh Mkhitaryan pulling one back five minutes late. With this win, Inter Milan moved one point ahead of AC Milan.

Inter Milan scored three goals in this match for the third consecutive time, after scoring three at Spezia last week in the league and Tuesday in the semifinal of the Italian Cup against AC Milan.

Inter Milan defeated A.S. Roma for the third time this season. They beat A.S. Roma 3-0 in Rome in December and by 2-0 in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup in February. A.S. Roma lost its first match in the 12 league matches it played. This loss left A.S. Roma five points behind the fourth-placed Juventus.

Jose Mourinho admits his side was no match for Inter Milan.

Jose Mourinho acknowledged that Inter Milan was way better than his team after A.S. Roma's loss to them. After their latest defeat, Mourinho said Inter Milan was the better team and that A.S. Roma couldn't match their quality.

Mourinho believed that A.S. Roma was good at times but lost to Inter Milan's superiority. "They are the best in the league and great in all aspects of the game- tactical, technical and physical," Mourinho said." They are really good. To beat them, you have to be perfect. We were good but not perfect."

Jose Mourinho's history with Inter Milan

As Inter Milan won comfortably in the 73rd minute and moved to the top of the table with a win, the home crowd began to sing the name of the legendary Portuguese manager.

Jose Mourinho, Inter Milan's manager for two incredible seasons in 2008 and 2010, respectfully extended his hand to acknowledge their appreciation.

The 59-year-old managed Inter Milan to two consecutive Serie A titles while completing a famous treble in 2010 with Coppa Italia and the Champions League. After winning all three trophies, he left Inter for Real Madrid. However, he is still adored by Inter fans.

"I love Inter and Inter loves me, now that we won't play Inter, Milan, Napoli or Juventus anymore," Mourinho said. "I can say I'd like Inter to win the league."

Jose Mourinho and his A.S. Roma will now focus on the UEFA Europa Conference League semifinal against Leicester City.
