Football Transfer News: Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo returns but is he “disrupting" the club's focus?

Manchester United are content with the transfer activity taking place at Old Trafford. However, the hype around Lisandro Martinez's arrival is beginning to fizzle out, and Cristiano Ronaldo's unclear future has the team brewing with concern

In the meantime, the chase for Antony looks to be over. Reports suggest that Ten is unwilling to accept Ajax's £84million price tag placed on Antony, though the Dutchman wants to bolster the squad's attack.

Ronaldo's former Man United teammate wants him to stop the 'disruptions.'

Louis Saha thinks that his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo needs to leave Manchester United if he does not want to play for the club. Still, he must maintain his professionalism until a deal comes his way.

Apart from their long-drawn pursuit of Frenkie de Jong, Ronaldo's uncertain future has been the talk of the summer as he publicly declared that he wants to leave Old Trafford right before the club started on their pre-season tour.

Ethan Laird moves closer toward another loan

Watford has started talks with Manchester United for the loan of Ethan Laird, as reported. The right-back had played twice for United on the club's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, although he experienced a game time of less than an hour.

Laird was out last season on loan at two different clubs, and this season, he might be gearing up for another move. Watford is interested in snapping up the defender, who competed for Swansea and Bournemouth last season, and keeping him for a season as they attempt to recover from relegation.

Lisandro Martinez thinks his Man United arrival will impact Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane

Lisandro Martinez has been signed to Manchester United to help improve the performances of both Raphael Varane and club captain Harry Maguire.

Fans let out their frustration on the pair for not meeting expectations in the previous edition of the Premier League. Now, both of them will undertake important roles under Erik ten Hag.

Martinez had clinched two Dutch titles with Ten Hag at Ajax and is known for his peculiar defence style. Although he is smaller, he is faster, and his passing skills are more impressive than his defensive colleagues.

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to compete for Manchester United as he makes an appearance in Sunday's friendly with Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford. The 37-year-old approached Erik ten Hag and vocalised his desire to exit the club as he had already skipped this summer's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia due to personal reasons. Ronaldo has returned for the first time since the 4-0 away defeat to Brighton on May 7, 2021.
