Some might argue that his contract is for two years, allowing him to leave upon completion. He earns €25 million yearly (after taxes), and after scripting history as the youngest player to win the Golden Boot, the world understands the potential of the 24-year-old.

When Mbappe was four, he frequented the AS Football club, where his father worked and overheard conversations about tactics and football. He looked up to football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.

    PSG Club Career

Mbappe started playing football at six, coached by his father in a club, AS Bondy. He entered the French National Football Institution at Clairefontaine in 2011 before shifting to Monaco's academy two years later.

When he turned 17, Mbappe broke into the center of European football and became a Ligue 1 champion in 2017. Subsequently, he was loaned out to PSG. He was then signed for 180 million euros in 2018.

On May 17, 2018, Mbappé was named to France's squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He scored his first World Cup goal in France's 1–0 group-stage victory over Peru, making him the youngest French goalscorer in World Cup history at age 19.

In the 2022 Qatar World Cup, Mbappe scored eight goals and received the Golden Boot for his unyielding performances that challenged the likes of Lionel Messi. Mbappe scored a hat-trick against Emiliano Martinez, the Golden Glove winner, in the final.

He also sent two beautiful crosses into the area the final minutes of the match, though neither was capitalised upon by a teammate. Mbappe's football career is already decorated by many team and individual awards, including the 2018 World Cup trophy against Croatia and five League 1 titles in France.

French forward possibly considering PSG exit after World Cup loss, Is Real Madrid an option?

Kylian Mbappe's side lost to Argentina in the final of the Qatar World Cup despite his monumental hat-trick, with the defeat leaving the 24-year-old frustrated and helpless.

The loss could prompt the French legend to consider a move to Real Madrid, who pursued Mbappe not too long ago. Even before the tournament, Mbappe had a clash of opinions with the PSG board and did not approve of the club's project.

Mbappe's return to Paris opened the door to a moment of reflection on his situation at PSG. Although the centre forward is aware of the unlikelihood of making a January exit, he could plan to depart by the end of the season.

Real Madrid as of now, are also monitoring his relationship with the PSG board. Although they failed to snap him up before the start of the current season, they might cook up a new deal now that Mbappe's demand has surged.

Real Madrid could face tough competition from Manchester United and Liverpool, as both teams seem interested in signing the player. Mbappe hopes the PSG board will accept offers even under the €150 million mark.

He is reportedly ready to lower his salary to walk out of the PSG setup, as he knows that no other club would offer a higher salary.
