Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the club have assured him of his continued role.

Ancelotti, who has been rumoured as a potential candidate for the position of Brazil's national team manager, expressed his desire to fulfill his existing contract with the Spanish club.

"Everyone knows really well what my situation is: I have a contract until the end of the 2024 season and I want to stay," said Ancelotti.

Asked if Real have confirmed that he's staying, he said, "Yes."

Having previously managed the Bernabeu outfit for two years from 2013 to 2015, Ancelotti departed after securing the Champions League title, only to return for a second tenure after his departure from Everton in June 2021.

During the previous season, he guided Real Madrid to their 14th European Cup triumph and clinched the Spanish league title.

However, the current campaign has seen the team fall short of those achievements.

Real Madrid suffered a resounding defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals, and they currently sit 14 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona with four matches remaining.

Nonetheless, Ancelotti's tenure has still seen success, with victories in the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Copa del Rey this season.
