Atletico Madrid tried all they could to make Manchester City lose their heads. However, Manchester City showed they have the skill and the will to win the Champions League

Manchester City is on course for Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup titles. It was a tough match for Manchester City; They had to play without Kevin De Bruyne, whose goal won them the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final and Kyle Walker due to injuries faced in the FA Cup semifinal against Liverpool on April 9.

The match saw Manchester City manage an 0-0 tie amid the drama to hold the aggregate at 1-0, setting up a semifinal match with Real Madrid on April 27.

Atletico Madrid lost their cool in the ending minutes of the match. Brazillian Defender Felipe was sent off the field after a confrontation involving almost all 22 players and backroom staff from both benches. Spanish police had to storm the tunnel from both sides to control the disgraceful scene.

The situation led to 13 minutes of stoppage time brawl that continued after the end of regulation time as players went off the pitch. Raheem Sterling appeared to be headbutted, Sime Vrsaljko was seen throwing an object at Aymeric Laporte, Jack Grealish had his ponytail pulled by Stefan Savic and Felipe was given a second yellow card and sent off-field as an elbow left Phil Foden bleeding from the head. The brawl went on for quite a while before UEFA officials finally decided to get the police involved.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, was targeted by Atletico Madrid fans as they threw objects at him while he walked down the tunnel without shaking hands with his counterpart, Diego Simeone.

When asked about the confrontation in the tunnel, Guardiola said, "Nothing to say, It's a big compliment for the players. We gave everything. We have to live in these kinds of situations. We suffered."

He further added, "We can't expect that we're going to make everything marvelous against the champions of Spain. The opponent was good."
