FIH Hockey Pro League: The Netherlands move to the top of the FIH Pro League ( Men ) with a 6-3 win over England

    Within the regulation time, De Vilder Derck in the 1st and 17th minute, Hoedemakers Tjep in the 24th and 44th minute, Wortelboer Floris in the 46th minute and Warmerdam Dennis in the 59th minute were the goal scorers for the Netherlands. In contrast, Bandurak Nicholas in the 28th minute and Rushmere Stuart in the 37th minute and 50th minute scored for England.

    De Vilder Derck opened the scoring for the Netherlands just 30 seconds into the game to give the visitors an early lead. Nick Bandurak and Chris Griffith had several chances to level the score in the ending moments of the first quarter but failed to break bast the Dutch defence. De Vilder Derck smashed the ball into the net past the English goalkeeper Oliver Payne to double the lead for the Netherlands just two minutes into the second quarter. 

    Homemakers Tjep further increased the lead for the Dutch side in the 24th minute with a shot through the legs of Oliver Payne. Bandurak Nicholas eventually broke through the Dutch defence and slotted the ball into the net past Maurits Visser to narrow the lead to 3-1. Rushmere Stuart further reduced the deficit for England with a shot on a rebound from a flick by Phil Roper. However, the Dutch side soon launched back to back attacks, regaining a three-goal lead with the efforts of Wortelboer Floris and Hoedemakers Tjep. The third quarter ended with a 5-2 lead for the Netherlands.

    Both sides scored one goal in the final quarter, and the Dutch squad emerged victorious against England 6-3. England played well in the later stages of the game but failed to match the skill, speed and creativity of the Netherlands. Following the win, the Netherlands clinched the top spot on the FIH Pro League table from Argentina, while England is at the fifth spot.

    In a post-match interview, Player of the Match Seve van Ass said, "That was a really tough game but so glad we have the six points. I am proud of the guys because we have had four challenging games. There were a lot of paces and a lot of running. Fatigue set in; that is why I sent the aerial. I had run out of legs. We scored reasonable goals today, but we must improve our defending.

    In the previous match, the Netherlands took revenge on England for the first leg loss against England.     In a post-match interview, Felice Albers said, "We wanted to win today. We played better than yesterday. In the second half, we got penalty corners, and we scored from them. We will go on to prepare for our matches against Germany.
