    The women's team of Argentina won against Spain with a score of 1-0 in the second leg of the match, maintaining their record of no losses in the tournament so far.

    Both the squads were equally matched during the first quarter of the women's match. The Argentine team started taking control of the game in the second quarter but missed an opportunity to score from a penalty corner. The first half ended with neither side able to open the scoring.

    Two minutes into the second half, Albertarrio Agustina scored for Argentina, giving them a 1-0 lead. Spain played ferociously in hopes of an equalizer, with Marta Segú getting close to scoring twice, but she missed one-shot by a few millimetres. At the same time, the other was stopped by Argentine Cristina Cosentino.

    Within the regulation time, Casella Maico in the 49th minute scored for Argentina, while Menini Joaquin in the 50th minute scored for Spain.

    Argentina opened the scoring despite Spain controlling most of the ball when a cross by Lucas Martinez was shot into the net past Spanish goalkeeper by Maico Casella. Just one minute later, Menini Joaquin scored the equalizer, sending the match into the shootout.

    In a dramatic shootout, both the sides slotted back to back goals, taking the score to 5-5. Tomas Santiago made a crucial save on Spain's sixth penalty, which allowed Nicolas Keenan to seal the victory for Argentina with a calmly composed shot to win the shootout 6-5.

    After the victory, Thomas Santiago said, "I am happy to get the two points, but we have a lot of things to improve, so we have a week to work on these things before we play Germany.

    With back to back triumphs against Spain, Argentina is now trailing just three points behind chart leaders India.

    Argentine women's squad backed up yesterday's win to climb to the top of the charts with 24 points, a two-point lead over India.
