Esports : Loco launches India’s first NFT platform for users

    Esports and live streaming platform Loco announced the launch of an platform for esports called ‘Legends’ that will allow users to collect and exchange esports collectables

    Loco aims to decentralize and democratize the gaming ecosystem in the country. Legends will set the stage for users to enhance and turbocharge their esports experience. Loco is one of the fastest-growing esports and gaming platforms in India and, with an enormous userbase of 52 million, has fully committed to supporting the esports ecosystem of the nation.

    Loco Legends will be launched with exclusive partnerships with several leading India esports teams competing in Valorant, Freemix, BGMI and Max events, including s0ul, 8bit, Godlike, Blind, Revenant and XO. The platform aims to provide esports fans with a credible and engaging NFT experience in their gaming community. Loco is the first Indian company to embrace Web 3.0 and NFTs to build a large-scale platform of this type.

    Loco has created a proprietary data system that uses the data taken from many esports tournaments backed by Loco to power Loco Legends. They have also signed dedicated partnerships with several prestigious esports tournament organizers such as Upthurst esports and Villager esports to create a quality data pipeline.

    Loco Legends will first launch a collection of NFT esports cards. The collection will combine in-game esports cards in fantasy gaming with nonfungible tokens. The platform users will be able to purchase and sell the NFT cards. They will also be able to take part in the free-to-play fantasy pools. The NFT esports cards will provide a unique experience where users can build real-world connections, get closer to their heroes and enhance their streaming experience, making every owner get closer to the fandom.

    One thousand users that apply to the waitlist will get access to free NFTs with a minimum value of INR 500. Users on the waitlist can move 100 places up on the queue for every user that joins the platform through their referral, increasing their chances of entering the whitelist and winning a free NFT.
