Lamborghini's "The Real Race" Esports championship returns for the 2022 season

The event will begin with a qualifying stage held between the 7th and 13th of May. First, they will have an open qualifier round and a closed qualifier stage. Those qualifying in the first segment will move up to the group stage. The participants shall be divided into four groups at the qualifying stage. Twenty top participants from each group will then compete in the group stage. Before the final will be a "last chance" stage and then the grand finale. 

Interestingly, one participant from each group will be directly placed in the group phase. Winners of the qualifier stage will be divided into groups based on regions, out of which 15 will qualify for the final round. Again, one participant from each region will get another opportunity in the last chance segment to be eligible for the grand finale. Sixteen drivers will reach the final part to compete for the trophy. To make things even more interesting, the tournament's winner will secure a spot in the Lamborghini eSports team. 

The final round will be played in a single day. The 16 participants will be divided into three games to be played on the same day, competing to win the tournament. The 2021 tournament witnessed over 1 million viewers. With the new pattern and the increased popularity, the organisers expect a lot more spectators this season. The current Lamborghini sports teams consist of 3 drivers: Jordan Sherratt, Gianfranco Giglioli, and Giorgio Simon will. Play the games will be played this season: Assetto Corsa Competizione is also used by the Lamborghini drivers to practice for their actual races.
