However, one thing is sure, the record-breaking title will garner a lot of attention and will be played by millions of gamers globally.

The first step to playing the multiplayer team-based first-person shooter is to know the characters' abilities, better known as 'Heroes.'

This is our guide to all the Tank 'Heroes' abilities in Overwatch 2 and how to use them proficiently.

You will need to learn all the Overwatch 2 heroes, their abilities, and how they work to succeed on the game's competitive side.

    ORISA

Orisa has transformed from a bunker tank that could use to fire shields to a spear-wielding stun beast following the Overwatch 2 rework.

She is slow on her four legs. However, she is also able to take on a lot of damage. Her spear can stun opponents and knock them off, inflicting additional damage if you smash them into the wall.

Her ultimate power draws enemies towards her while causing time-based damage before unleashing a massive burst of destruction to enemies close to her.

Be sure to use her fortifying power to stop sleep darts and other pesky effects.

     D.VA

The most well-known character from Overwatch, D.Va, is the name of the famous pilot of the bubblegum pink rabbit mech.

Inside her mech, D.Va consumes enemy attacks with her defence matrix, which helps her team members. However, when the mech suffers enough damage, it's an unprotected soft soldier until she can bring it back down.

D.Va is known for her ability to boost around to thwart opponents on the high ground. She can get close to them or physically push them back with her boost. She works well with an agile team, where she can use her rocket booster to stay up.

If you're in the process of being de-meched, you can use her self-destruct option to stay in the fight but do not expect to score a lot of killings from it.

    DOOMFIST

Doomfist was a hero for damage and was redesigned to become a tank for Overwatch 2. In addition, his uppercut was changed to an encapsulation block that allows players to absorb the damage and transform it into a buff to damage for themselves.

Additionally, he's been provided with plenty of additional health to fit the tank position.

He's still the melee hero he has always been; however, he is a master at swiftly moving between and through enemy lines, disrupting the line by getting into the enemy's faces and creating chaos while your team can take them out as they rotate to shield their backline.

A clever trick is to cancel his blast in mid-air by using rocket kicks for an additional burst of upward momentum.

    REINHARDT

Reinhardt is a massive knight with a hammer who defends his troops with a gigantic laser shield.

He holds up the giant shield to protect the group as they move forward. And when enemies come close enough, he swings his hammer in an expansive circular motion about himself and knocks them off.

The fire strike attack traverses enemies and shields to cause a flurry of damage to keep things amusing. Lastly, his famous charge attack propels him across the map. It could be employed to bind an opponent against a wall, typically taking them down.

If you spot a vulnerability in the enemy's defences, you can use his ultimate weapon to smash his hammer against the ground and knock down anyone in his path.

    ROADHOG

Roadhog is slow, but the prominent gas mask-wearing character has a strong presence. A large tank, he packs a powerful hook that can grab out-of-position players and bring them to him, finishing them with a close-range shot from his shotgun.

Roadhog's hook, fire, and melee combination can quickly reduce squishy supports to dust, making it a fan favourite.

    SIGMA

This astrophysicist is a versatile arsenal to play with. However, it can be difficult for new players to get a lot of use out of him early on.

In Overwatch 2's emphasis on mobility and damage, Sigma can feel somewhat heavy to respond, which is why it is recommended to play on maps that have small channels to narrow on his hyperspheres, such as Rialto and Hollywood, and not on large open maps, such as Junkertown and Busan.

A few suggestions for starting: Get habitual about remembering his barrier often so that it won't be forgotten when you lead the fight.

Utilize his accretion to stun enemies advancing towards you and then follow the attack by using his hyperspheres that will finish them off. However, avoid getting caught in its kinetic grab animation while combat beam heroes like Zarya or Echo.
