The studio announced earlier this year that it would redesign the VCT, working with 30 of the best Esports organisations. In a recent blog post, the makers of Valorant revealed the teams that will be a part of this partnership and explained the selection process in more detail.

According to Riot Games, the teams were selected based on their values, financial stability, and engagement with fans through their brand. The groups underwent a rigorous process that included a written application, in-depth interviews, and financial reviews.

Riot Games also pointed out that the past performances of organisations in previous VCT tournaments had not been considered, which is why teams such as OpTic, G2, FaZe Clan, FPX, and many others were surprisingly not included in the partnership program.

Several teams that weren't chosen for the partnership have allowed their players to play as Restricted Free Agents in 30 partner teams.

Out of the 30 teams, Indian fans will be delighted to hear that the country will be represented by Global Esports. They join VCT Pacific.

The partner teams have the advantage that they do not have to pay participation/franchising fees. They also receive financial grants to expand their cadre and ecosystem.
