Esports News: Fans attend exciting FanFest in India

    Esports fans were delighted to attend a FanFest hosted by Web3 Fan Engagement Startup STAN. Known as the STAN FanFest, the event was organised as a part of Dreamhack 2022, which took place at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, from 4-6 November 2022

    For those who aren't aware, STAN is a blockchain-based platform designed for fans to engage and get involved in the gaming world. The event brought gaming creators, fans, and esports players together physically. 

    The STAN FanFest attracted more than 30,000 gaming enthusiasts from across the country. DreamHack is an unprecedented gaming event built around a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) LAN party paired with other tournaments and international esports competitions.

    After a long hiatus imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdown, the tournament resumed after 2019. It provides a solid medium for visitors to experience the latest gaming and tech gear developments at the Expo. 

    They can engage in cosplay and non-gaming events such as music concerts, stand-up comedy, and more. In addition, the STAN FanFest exposed fans to many activities, including the Offline version of the NFT trump game, leading to a highly immersive experience. 

    The tournament was hosted in association with a gaming earphone manufacturer called Wings. Over the three days it spawned, the visitor footfall at STAN FanFest was recorded to be the highest. 

    With 30,000+ people and 80 influencers attending, the tournament was a success. Free Fire creators and Omegle creators also made it to the meet-and-greet event.

    Who are the important gaming personalities present?

    The well-known gaming influencers attending the event include Uk007 Rider, Mortal, Lokesh Gamer, Gyan Gaming, AS Gaming, Goldy, Thug, Raj 'Snax' Varma, and Tanmay 'Scout' Singh.

    A few names referred to industry leaders, including Thug - Animesh Agarwal, Founder, S8UL & 8bit Creatives; Goldy – Lokesh Jain and Akshat Rathe, MD and Co-founder, NODWIN Gaming - showed up to the event.

    Furthermore, popular game creator Samay Raina and comedian Tanmay Bhat also made it, playing the game of board Chess at DreamHack 2022.
