Counter-Strike legend Edward announces retirement
Ioann 'Edward' Sukhariev, a stalwart in professional Counter-Strike for over 20 years, has officially retired.

His remarkable career spanned both CS 1.6 and CSGO, securing numerous major trophies and three appearances in HLTV's Top 20 players, reaching No. 5 in 2010 in CS 1.6.
Commencing with dominating LAN competitions in Russia and Ukraine, Edward gained international recognition at the World Cyber Games in 2005 and 2006.
Joining Virtus.pro in 2007, he and Zeus won titles at medium-sized LAN events. The pinnacle came in 2010 with exceptional rifle skills and pistol prowess.
Reuniting with Zeus at Natus Vincere in 2012, they achieved a historic trifecta in the IEM IV World Championship, ESWC, and WCG.
Victories at events like Arbalet Cup in Dallas showcased Edward's brilliance, setting a record for prize money in 2010.
Despite challenges in CSGO and a departure from NAVI in 2013, Edward returned, reaching Major grand finals three times.
Playing a supportive role, he contributed significantly to wins in ESL One Cologne 2018, ESL One New York 2016, IEM San Jose 2015, and StarSeries & i-League Season 5 & 7, leaving behind a legacy of excellence.
