Black Friday sale helps Red Dead Redemption 2 hit new highs
Red Dead Redemption 2 has clinched another Steam record, hitting an unprecedented player peak almost four years after its PC launch.

The surge is credited to the Black Friday sale, propelling the game to break several records over the weekend.
Originally released in October 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption 2 serves as a prequel to the acclaimed 2010 title, Red Dead Redemption.
Set in the Wild West, players follow Arthur Morgan, a member of the infamous Van der Linde gang, against the backdrop of the approaching 20th century.
The Steam version, introduced in 2019, remains a PC hardware benchmark with 4K support and higher frame rates. The ongoing Steam Black Friday sale has drawn new players to the Red Dead series.
According to updated SteamDB charts, Red Dead Redemption 2 achieved a new peak on November 26, with 77,655 concurrent players.
The momentum began on November 25 during the Black Friday sale, hitting an initial peak of 73,138 players. Surpassing this, the game reached 77,655 Steam players, with a 24-hour peak of 69,822 players, underscoring its enduring popularity.
