As the pace department once again let the team down, leaking 53 runs from overs 17 to 19, India's fielding emerged as the other primary concern in the match.

Cameron Green, who opened for the first time in international cricket, was the first to be handed the lifeline as he laid the solid foundation for chase. Axar Patel at deep mid-wicket dropped him at 42, after which he scored an astonishing 61 for 30.

The second lifeline was granted to Steven Smith by KL Rahul in Axar Patel's over. Surviving the catch drop at 19, the batter added another 16 to his score.

The third dropped chance occurred at the most crucial stage of the game, in the 18th over by the bowler himself. Harshal Patel dropped Mathew Wade, who mistimed the shot to which the bowler hardly had any time to react. After this drop, he punished the bowler for two long sixes handing him 22 runs in that over.

India has some serious concerns to address in the form of their death overs' pace attack and fielding woes.
