    Chetan Sakariya's masterclass

The left-arm pacer scalped two vital wickets of Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag, conceding 23 runs in four overs. He, paired with Khaleel Ahmed, can be a destructive pace attack for the opposition. Former Indian cricketer Nikkhil Chopra via Crictracker said, "The captain is using Sakariya as the main bowler. I'm happy that this young bowler has been given such a responsibility, and he has stood up to that."

    Ashwin's maiden T20 fifty in 15 years

With Shimron Hetmyer not available for Rajasthan Royals and the early wicket fall of Jos Buttler, RR promoted Ravichandran Ashwin to bat up the order. This came as a shock to many as other quality batters were available with the team to anchor the innings. However, the spin-bowler all-rounder justified the decision and emerged as the top-scoring player for the team. He scored his maiden IPL fifty in just 38 balls at a strike rate of 131.57.

On keeping the best batters for the lower order and sending Ashwin at 3, Harsha Bhogle tweeted, "As it turns out, #RR has wasted one of their two best batsmen by keeping him for the end. Need to find 160-165 now."

"Albeit unconventional but RR making full use of Ashwin #RRvDC #IPL2022", tweets Wasim Jaffer.

"Well played matchaa. #Ashwin," praised Irfan Pathan

    Mitchell Marsh's all-round show

Delhi Capital registered a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022, keeping hopes for playoffs alive. Mitchell Marsh stood out as an all-rounder in yesterday's clash of all the performances. He was exceptional firstly with the ball taking two wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravichandran Ashwin for just 25 runs in 3 overs. He came at number three after contributing with the ball and started with two runs off the first ten balls. However, soon he started with the fireworks to score 89 from 62 balls. Cricketers couldn't stop praising the Aussie on Twitter.

RP Singh tweeted, "#MitchellMarsh wow! With the ball and with the bat , a truly brilliant performance. Completely a different player since 2021 T20 World Cup #RPSwing #CricketTwitter #RRvDC."

Harsha Bhogle, too, praised the all-rounder, "#MitchellMarsh wow! With the ball and with the bat , a truly brilliant performance. Completely a different player since 2021 T20 World Cup #RPSwing #CricketTwitter #RRvDC."

"What was that? Was that a chase? If yes then it was an unbelievable chase. They made it look so simple. Kudos to Warner and Marsh. Rajasthan is making its life tougher through unwanted experiments. #RRvDC #TATAIPL #IPL2022,” tweets Amit Mishra.

Yuzvendra Chahal's magical delivery, but Warner remains not out

While Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals in the chase game of 160 by eight wickets, an unlucky moment took place for Royals in the 9th over of DC innings where Yuzvendra Chahal managed to beat David Warner. The bowler went unlucky as despite the ball hitting the stumps, David Warner remained not out as bails did not get dislodged. And then the batter went to make his half-century helping his team seal the win till the end.

"We've seen it plenty of times! (bails not being dislodged) I don't know what's with these stumps, but they are so hard in the ground. I think those grooves are quite deep. I was saying to Yuzi there that sometimes, you can't play when there is no spin, and sometimes, you can play when there is spin. So, fortunately, it went my way that time!" David Warner said on Star Sports post-match.

Irfan Pathan tweeted, "Should we wait for the bails to be dislodged or should the batter be out if the ball hits the stumps irrespective of whether the bails fall?

Option A. Bails need to be dislodged

Option B. Ball hits the stump means it's out."
