This is the fifth loss for them in six games.

Opting to bat, Leicestershire made 170/10 in 20 overs with little contribution from all the team members. Luke Fletcher, Samit Patel and Steven Mullaney scalped two-wicket each to trouble the visitors' batting line-up. The highest scores came from Lewis Hill (39) and Arron Lilley (23), who put on 45 for the third wicket before Wiaan Mulder and Ben Mike added 27 and 29 runs, respectively, taking the total to a defendable one.

In response to the total, Nottinghamshire got off to a stable start, with Alex Hales scoring 55 of 43. But after his dismissal, hosts were reduced to 97/6, with Ben Duckett and Samit Patel only able to score 10-plus runs. The rest got wiped out for a single-digit score, getting tea bundled for 123 in 19.4 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq, combined with two-wicket each from Callum Parkinson, Ben Mike and Rehan Ahmed, led Leicestershire to a comprehensive victory.

Wayne Madsen and Shan Masood sailed Derbyshire to their fifth successive win in the T20 Blast

Asked to bat first, Northamptonshire stumbled as they lost their three top-order batters inside the powerplay. Saif Zaib coming at fourth, played a counter-attacking knock to score 92 off 58, consisting of 8 boundaries and four sixes, but ultimately fell short of 8-runs to his century. The second highest contribution came from James Neesham (28) to post a competitive total of 186 at a loss of 7 wickets.

In reply, Derbyshire lost Luis Reece (1) early. However, skipper Shan Masood first stitched a 50-run partnership with Hayden Kerr, followed by a mammoth match-winning 95-run stand with Wayne Madsen. Shan Masood scored 57, whereas Wayne Madsen fetched 73 off 37, consisting of 10 boundaries. Leus du Plooy and Brooke Guest did the little remaining to take the match home with six wickets and six balls remaining, and thus, Derbyshire grabbed the second spot in the table.
