Batting first, Yorkshire Vikings pulled off a solid start after an early loss of Adam Lyth (7). Dawid Malan and Tom Kohler-Cadmore stitched a mammoth 61-run partnership to anchor the team. While Malan fell off at 33 to Matt Parkinson's slower, Tom Kohler-Cadmore stood firm to fetch 66 runs off 44 balls, consisting of 5 boundaries and three sixes. Skipper Harry Brook went for a 4-ball 2, following which Shadab Khan and Jordan Thompson took the lead. The duo took the team from 124/4 to 198/6. They scored a mammoth total of 204 on the scoreboard, losing seven wickets in 20 overs.

In response, Lancashire Lightning made a mockery of this high-looking 200-plus target. They not only secured a spot in the finals but reached comprehensively with six wickets and eight balls to spare. Opener Phil Salt gave the team a flying start to score 36 off 15 but lost his wicket early on 3rd over to Matthew Revis. However, Keaton Jennings and skipper Dane Vilas kept the scoreboard ticking. The duo added a 100-plus stand for the third wicket as they both secured their fifties. Dominic Drake dismissed Keaton Jennings at 75 but was not enough to stop Lancashire from winning as the skipper sealed the win for his team, scoring an unbeaten 63 off 36. They chased the target on 18.4 overs, which became the highest successful chase on the final day.

Dane Vilas, Lancashire captain, said, "Oh my gosh! I wasn't expecting that, but it is a good game. When you get off to a good start like that, it allows you to bat through with the opposition on the back foot. The aim was to bring the required rate down. Not too worried about whoever we play."
