    Captain's Corner

Ireland: Scott Edwards, the Netherlands captain, says he knew it wouldn't be easy since Cooper and Bas de Leede performed so well. 250 would have been a reasonable total, but they struggled to get going in the lower order. He adds that the wicket is good for spinners, but he is dissatisfied with how they were out. Finally, they express their excitement for the next game.

Pakistan: Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, believes the team had a fantastic start with the ball and made good use of the conditions, and afterward, the spinners worked well, and he is pleased with how the team performed. They believed there was wetness in the wicket earlier, which is why they wanted to bowl first. Agha Salman deserves credit for how he played, and he hopes he can keep it up.
