    India defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the first one-day international.

    After winning the toss, India elected to bowl first. Zimbabwe's batting suffered a major setback from the outset, with Indian bowlers dismissing their top and middle-order batsmen for single digits.

    Innocent Kaia (4), Tadiwanashe Marumani (4), Wesley Madhevere (5), Sean Williams (1), and Sikandar Raza (12) all got out cheaply. 

    Regis Chakabva, the team's captain, scored 35 runs. The team's final score of 189-10 in 40 overs and innings was boosted by Brad Evans' 33 runs and Richard Ngarava's 34 runs. 

    The Indian bowlers worked well together to defeat Zimbabwe in the encounter. Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar, and Prasidh Krishna each took three wickets for the side. Mohammed Siraj took one wicket. 

    During the chase, Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman gill put up an outstanding batting performance.

    Dhawan scored an unbeaten 81 runs, while Gill scored an unbeaten 82 runs to set up a 192-run opening partnership. India won the match by 10 wickets in 30.5 overs. 

    Deepak Chahar, who bowled an unbelievable 3-7 in the match, was named man of the match. 

    Zimbabwe is 0-1 down in the series and has to win the second ODI to make a comeback. India will be looking to win the series with a victory in the second ODI.
