Bangladesh's skipper, winning the toss and opting to bowl first, turned out to be the match-winning decision for the team. With wickets assisting spinners in the first inning, half of the job was done by bowlers. West Indies batters never kept going with the bat. They struggled to score runs until Keemo Paul came at the fall of the seventh wicket to be the leading run-scorer, fetching an unbeaten 25 off 24. Three spinners scalped eight wickets to disrupt the batting line-up. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took a four-wicket haul, whereas Nasum Ahmed stunned everyone with the ball taking three wickets and bowling with an economy of 1.90. Thus, bowlers restricted West Indies to 108 in 35 overs.

To defend the total, Gudakesh Motie got the team the breakthrough at the score of 48 by dismissing Najmul Hossain Shanto. Apart from him, other bowlers failed to make most of the pitch or even trouble the batters. Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das remained unbeaten at 50 and 32, respectively, to seal the series win by nine wickets in 20.4 overs.

Bangladesh sealed the series win by 2-0 to grab crucial points for the World Cup Super League, and winning the third one will also be crucial from the league points' perspective. West Indies will have a lot to work on their batting, especially in the 50-over format. The third clash will now be seen on 16th July at the same venue.
