The Scorchers were able to save the goal with two balls after star pacer Andrew Tye grabbed three wickets and in-form wicketkeeper Josh Inglish scored 47 runs off of 34 balls.

On the other hand, Sydney Thunder defeated the Hobart Hurricanes in their last game by 62 runs to jump to second place in the league table. Alex Hales hit 77 from 45, and Oliver Davies smashed 65 from 32 to help the Thunder put up 228/6 runs while batting first.

Later, Brendon Doggett took four wickets to bowl the Hurricanes out with just 166 runs in 17 overs.

Sydney Thunder have won four of their last five games against the Scorchers but given their current form, the latter are favourites to win this game.

Pitch Report: The field at Perth Stadium is an even surface with average first innings finish of 139 runs. The Pacers will likely get some help with a new ball in the power play overs, but batters will likely dominate the rest of the game.
