Asia Cup 2022: Pakistan VS Hong Kong - Pakistan defeats Hong Kong by 155 runs, Qualify for Super 4

    A mammoth 155-run win for Pakistan over Hong Kong and another blockbuster Sunday confirmed between India and Pakistan

    Hong Kong was blown away by Pakistan's pace attack and ripped apart by spin to be bundled out for 38 runs. This is the lowest T20I total for Hong Kong and the lowest total of any opponent against Pakistan. 

    Naseem Shah playing his second T20I match got the breakthrough in his second over and returned with two wickets. Carrying forward the dominance Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz took seven wickets to wind up the team inside 64 balls. Hong Kong skipper Nizakat Khan was the highest scorer with eight runs as none of the players could touch double-digit as an individual score. 

    Earlier in the game, Pakistan gave a target of 194 as Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten to score 78 off 57 to emerge Player of the Match. Fakhar Zaman added 53 runs in 41 balls before Khushdil Shah came and smashed bowlers to fetch 15-ball 35* and shoot the total to 193. 

    Among Hong Kong bowlers, only Ehsan Khan returned with two crucial wickets of Babar Azam (9) and Fakhar Zaman (53) while maintaining the lowest economy of 7. 

    Hong Kong skipper Nizakat Khan said, "Lots of learning from these two games. Must give credit to Pakistan. Their bowling was phenomenal. Our shot-making was poor."

    With this win, Pakistan has reached Super 4 and will lock horns with India again on a super Sunday. Super Four clashes begin tomorrow, with the first fixture between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
